For us, it’s essential that our collaboration benefits both sides, and that we share one belief: keep the sea alive. We work with organisations and companies who share our vision of a sea full of life, for ourselves and for future generations.

Q & A about Collaborations

Your company can contribute by becoming a Sea friend or Sea partner. Companies and organisations become Sea friend by donating at least 10,000 SEK in one year. Sea partner is a deeper commitment, developed together with us. This can be on an annual basis or over a longer period.

What does a Sea partner – collaboration look like? 


There are endless options for partnerships. You can support on-going projects such as Thriving bays and ReCod, or you can contribute to new projects for a living Baltic Sea. Contact us and together we will develop a partnership that suits both your organisation and the Baltic Sea!

Can companies receive tax reductions for donations?

Yes, since 16/04/2026 the Swedish Tax Agency has approved BalticWaters to receive donations that entitle the donor to tax reduction, i.e. approved gift recipient. To be approved, the organisation must be a public-benefit non-profit association or foundation engaged in social aid work or promoting scientific research.

The tax reduction corresponds to the corporate tax rate of 20.6% (max 164,800 SEK/year)

This means that tax reduction is possible under the following conditions:

  • It must be a monetary donation (not goods, services, or sponsorship)
  • The amount must be at least 2,000 SEK per donation occasion and a maximum of 800,000 SEK per year and company

Can a donation be directed to a specific cause?


BalticWaters prefers to receive unrestricted donations, meaning that the gifts can be used where they are most needed. If a donor wishes to give a directed donation, we try to accommodate this as much as possible. As a Havspartner, we develop the collaboration together, making it possible for your commitment to be directed to specific projects or initiatives.

Is it possible to contribute with a gift under 10,000 SEK?


Absolutely! Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us launch new projects and initiatives, as well as scale up our existing activities. Gifts under 10,000 SEK can be made here.

Are there organisations and companies BalticWaters does not collaborate with?


We believe everyone can contribute to a healthier Baltic Sea, but we reserve the right to decline a donation.

Can we, as a Sea friend or a Sea partner, use the BalticWaters logo in our communications?


It’s important that you can tell your customers, partners, and stakeholders about our collaboration. That’s why you will receive materials to share on your channels. However, the foundation’s logo may only be used by Sea partners, and its use is regulated in the agreement signed when the collaboration begins.
