Research and experimental studies

Are you a researcher or company interested in conducting studies in controlled experimental environments? At BalticWaters Fish Laboratory, it is possible to rent laboratory space and infrastructure for research and development projects, tailored to cold-water species in the Baltic Sea. With support from experienced technical staff and flexible technical solutions, excellent conditions are created for research, method development and applied studies.

What we offer

Scientific advisory board

BalticWaters works together with a scientific advisory board consisting of experienced researchers who provide guidance on project selection and contribute perspectives on future developments in marine research.

The board acts as a compass for future ocean research and is also available to support those conducting research at the laboratory.

Conduct research at the lab

What is required to conduct research at the laboratory?
BalticWaters Fish Laboratory is a licensed animal research facility, which means that specific authorisations are required to handle laboratory animals and/or carry out experimental procedures at the facility. These requirements are established under Swedish legislation and apply to anyone working with fish or conducting experiments on site. Please contact us for more information.
