BalticWaters safeguards your personal privacy and wants you as a visitor, donor, and stakeholder always to feel safe when submitting your personal information to us. We are open with what data we collect and why. All processing of personal data within BalticWaters is carried out in accordance with applicable personal data legislation. What personal data do we collect?
The personal data collected by BalticWaters are those you provide when registering for newsletters or when registering for seminars or other events organized by BalticWaters. The data collected in such a case is your name, e-mail address and, where applicable, the employer and billing address. This process is based on your consent.
We use the Google Analytics tool to measure traffic on our website and to evaluate its functionality. This means that Google registers personal data in the form of your IP address, as well as indirect data in the form of information about how long you are on the website, which pages you visit, etc. More information on how Google uses the transferred personal data can be found further down on the webpage under the paragraph “About cookies”. There is also information about how to proceed to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you and how you can delete data already collected.
From time to time, we publish photographs on the website from events we arrange or participate in. These photographs may in some cases consist of ‘personal data’. Before publishing, we make a review of whether the photograph can in any way be privacy sensitive. When we determine that it is not the case, the photograph is published.
If you want to know what personal data BalticWaters has stored about you, you have the right to request access to this personal data. You also have the right to request rectification or deletion of incorrect personal data. If you believe that BalticWaters’ handling of your personal data is carried out in an incorrect manner, you have the right to restrict our use of your data. About cookies
