Support our work for a living Baltic Sea

With the support of our founder Ann-Sofie Mattson, BalticWaters have been able to run several large-scale environmental projects, carry out calls aimed at researchers and students, conduct active advocacy work, and establish a new fish research laboratory – the first of its kind in the Baltic Sea region. But to continue our work we need support from both private donors, companies and organisations.

All donations go to the foundation’s work for a healthier Baltic Sea. Your donation will contribute to our work, for example to our fish research laboratory, our projects and our advocacy work. “Svensk Insamlingskontroll” audits our operations so that you, as a donor, can feel confident that your contribution is used correctly. You may receive a tax deduction if you donate at least 200 SEK per donation and a total of at least 2,000 SEK during a calendar year (to us or other approved organisations). Read more about tax deduction here.

About the foundation

BalticWaters is an independent foundation engaged in efforts to improve the Baltic Sea environment. The foundation conducts large-scale environmental projects with a focus on action-oriented measures and conducts applied research to show which measures can contribute to a healthier sea and viable fish stocks. The projects are carried out on land, along the coast, and in the sea. BalticWaters also develops and disseminates knowledge about the Baltic Sea environment to the general public, governmental authorities, and decision-makers. The aim is to increase knowledge about the challenges facing the sea and build public opinion so that decisions are taken, and measures are implemented.
